Peter Fender is the conductor and Nikki Gleed the leader (see <a href=\"https:\/\/musiccoursesinitaly.com\/lugo\/about-us\/\">About Us<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Players required<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; see the list above for currently required players. We have people of a variety of standards across the orchestra.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Rehearsals<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; there will be about six during the week, in Lugo, and the concert will be on the Friday, preceded by an additional late afternoon rehearsal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The programme<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; will include Haydn Symphony No.104 (&#8216;London&#8217;). &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"imgrow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"leftimage\" src=\"https:\/\/musiccoursesinitaly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/S_Colombano_Bologna_small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"300\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"rightimage\" src=\"https:\/\/musiccoursesinitaly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/ravenna-il-duomo-piccolo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"300\">\n<h2>Holiday<\/h2>\n<p><strong><em>Emilia-Romagna<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; has been called <em>the<\/em> best area in Europe to spend time in by <em>The Lonely Planet Guide<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Explore\/relax<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; as well as the musical side of the week, there will be plenty of time to explore &#8211; whether your passion is perhaps history, architecture or food. Or you could just chill out with a glass of local wine in a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ravenna\/Bologna<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; two of Europe&#8217;s most amazing cities are a short train-ride away from Lugo!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Welcome<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; there will be a special meal to welcome us to Lugo, and a &#8216;behind-the-scenes&#8217; tour of the town.<\/p>\n<h2>Cost<\/h2>\n<p>Apart from general costs relating to food etc there are three costs involved (further details are on the <a href=\"https:\/\/musiccoursesinitaly.com\/lugo\/pricing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cost<\/a> and\/or <a href=\"https:\/\/musiccoursesinitaly.com\/lugo\/full-info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full Info<\/a> pages):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b><em>Course <\/em><\/b>&#8211; the standard course fee is \u00a3475 per person, for non-players it is \u00a3130. This includes the cost of the welcome meal, the final meal\/party, the guided tour around Lugo and a full-day excursion. Reductions will be available: for example, a \u00a330 discount if you are a student or if you pay before the end of April 2026, or you come with playing family members.
